The comments below are from Equus Horse Safari guests prior to October 2005 who enjoyed not only exhilarating and informative riding, but our fully serviced bush camp as well -- safari tents, lodge, and fine meals.
So sad to go home after
such a delightful journey! I'll take with me to remember Equus the
strength of colours, the smell of the good cooking, the pleasure
of putting my nose every morning into the horse's neck to warm it,
the fantastic view of thousands of stars, the power of the silence
to touch a little of the whole universe. Beatrice, Paris,
France
I congratulate you on a wonderfully
convivial and relaxing set-up: the tents wonderful, great meals
at the lodge and fantastic guides. Wendy, your love of nature and
horses is a delight to share with you. Last but not least, superb
riding. Amanda, Surrey, UK
Effortless professionalism that
is the order of the day. So easy on the eye but so hard to achieve.
Graham, UK
Enchanting. We leave this beautiful
place enchanted by the hills and valleys, the kudu, even the warthogs,
the baboons, the protea trees and the calls of the birds. We loved
our rides with you. Amazingly, we arrived a few days ago as strangers
and we leave feeling as if we are true friends of this land and
of you special people. Nancy,
Minnesota, USA
Equus - Waterberg, a little piece
of Eden! Her fierce rugged beauty captivates the weary traveller
and nature in all its glory romances with the spectator. One cannot
go away without being touched by this place! Gabriella,
Chamonix, France
Equus fulfilled my African dream
here in this wilderness. Shaun,

I have never come across such lovely
horses - obviously expertly trained and lovingly cared for ...a
pleasure to ride. The countryside speaks for itself! The fodder
is tops too! Zoe, UK
How
wonderful my stay was. The reserve is absolutely gorgeous and the
serenity unsurpassed. Rachel,
New York, USA
If I could recommend any holiday
it would be this one. Charles, UK
Fabulously peaceful and quiet.
The landscape is breathtaking, the horses lively and sweet. Joan,

This is how horses should live!
We spent four wonderful days here, enjoying great rides on happy
horses. Katja, Germany
Marvelous horses and beautiful
long canters. Wonderful food as always and the company absolutely
second to none. Annie, Johannesburg,
South Africa
Thanks for an enchanting couple
of days. You have a very special operation at your new home and
a sundowner spot to die for! Henrietta,

Thank you all so much - the closest
place to paradise that I've been. Cathy,
UK
We have been looking for a long
time for a so beautiful part of the world. Eventually we found it
here. Stefania, Italy
We are not sure what contributed
to our enjoyment the most: the beautiful vistas from the lodge as
the sun sets over the distant ridge, the chirping of the birds every
morning as we woke to another glorious day in Africa, the sight
of a troop of baboons at play just yards away as rode through the
tall golden grass, the fireplace chats and delicious dinner with
good company. Sofie, Denmark
To relax in such a dramatic and
rugged wilderness is an experience I could not have imagined. To
watch the horses running at leisure is one of the many images I
will take back to England with me. Nicky,
UK
Happy
little Boerperd horses
Cantering through the wilderness
Where could anyone imagine
Joy more genuine than this?
Reedbuck startling bright Samburu;
Chattering of black baboon;
Peaceful kudu;
cheeky warthog;
All abound in Equus June.
Deepest blue the sky above us,
Dark the shadows cross the track,
Perfect clarity of distance:
All combine to tempt us back.
Round the welcome hearth at evening
With the company of friends,
Happiness of John and Wendy -
On all this Equus depends.
Thanks for the elusive e-mails.
Loved the sight of house of dreams.
Roger's knees thank kindly Chobe.
What a happy, friendly team!
