Wendy Adams, founder of Equus Horse Safaris, retired from guiding riding safaris in 2008.  Today, she enjoys and protects this beautiful wilderness and rides and trains horses daily.

Recently, her good friend, Carla Lucassen, opened her own horse trail company on Equus Reserve. Carla offers the same exhilarating riding as Equus did for so many years – on fine horses in a spectacular mountain landscape of rolling grasslands, hidden valleys, vast skies and panoramic views.

If you are interested in exploring the Waterberg Mountains and observing its wildlife from horseback, please contact us for information about riding with Carla.

After 20 years of guiding horse safaris in South Africa and accompanying groups on rides all over the world, Wendy can offer impartial advice on riding safaris.  Again, please contact us for help in selecting the right riding destination for you.

Equus Reserve is now for sale. This 951 hectare farm in the malaria-free Waterberg is nestled in stunning mountains and valleys. There are two lovely homes and three guest chalets on the property. The Reserve is suitable for equestrian uses, game ranching, tourism, or simply a private nature reserve. Contact equus@equus.co.za for complete information.
